There is something deeply affirming about this Full Moon   in Cancer  of 3 January 2026.

Astrology is reflected in how we live.

When lived and studied properly, it is not the oversimplified “horoscope” column found in glossy magazines.

Rather, it is an ancient, multidimensional symbolic language — a sophisticated system the ancients studied for years and used across politics, spirituality, harvest cycles, and the mapping of archetypal forces present at the moment of one’s birth.

On the level of the individual, these forces form a holographic blueprint of our wiring, our lessons, and the themes we are here to integrate over time.

Collectively, astrology maps the movement and interplay of archetypal forces as they intersect and unfold.

 ** It is important to see it not as predictive dogma — but as a complex architectural blueprint of both your Soul and how it inter-relates with the rhythm of life. It shows you the map (50%) + the other 50% is for you — your Soul — to decide what you want to do with the coordinates (You carve out your destiny.)

For instance, Cancer as a zodiac archetype represents many things ——- fundamentally, as the fourth house, it speaks to the archetype of Home.

** Home within ourselves and our sense of safety in our bodies

** Home - Our personal homes and the choices we’ve made to restructure, redefine, or renew our living environments so they truly support our Souls and our children / families

** And the sense of home within one’s field of work — as a safe container for Soul expression in the external world

** This last nine years/ culminating this year - it has shaken our sense of safety in our relationships with our countries as “homes” —- the stewardship of our governments. [What choices have we made? How have we set this up?]

A Full Moon represents coming into fruition — maturation.

It symbolises culmination, completion, and peak energy: the harvest of intentions set at the New Moon.

It is a time of manifestation, gratitude, and heightened emotional intensity, as light illuminates what has previously been hidden, leading naturally into a phase of release and letting go.

Full Moons carry themes of illumination, abundance,

transformation, and emotional clarity.

With this Full Moon in Cancer  coinciding with the closing of a nine-year cycle — and the ushering in of a Numerology 1 year (initiation, beginnings, activation) — this lunation brings into focus years of inner work many of us have been doing.

It highlights the slow, conscious process of redefining home — the inner and outer archetype of Cancer — not merely as a physical place, but as safety within the body, integrity within the self, and coherence between inner truth and outer structure.

Most systems, structures, and cultures block the Soul on entry. For many (those of us as children growing up) especially those with inherent gifts and sensitivities —- it has been common to be born into biological families and/or cultures that could not fully see or hold the fullness of who we truly are.

As a result, it has historically been widespread for one’s subconscious to register this planet, biological family, systems, societies, and cultures as fundamentally — “unsafe”.

With this culmination — this Full Moon in Cancer — it is worth looking back at the last nine years of your life, beginning in 2017.

What was unfolding for you then?

If the work has been undertaken over these nine years, what may now be visible is how you have actively taken steps along the evolutionary journey of redefining HOME:

*** Home within your Self and your sense of safety in your body

*** Home in your personal living environment — the conscious choices you have made to restructure, redefine, or renew your physical home so it truly supports the Soul’s needs

** — in friendships: redefined, with false connections now well and truly purged

** — in our governments/ community stewardship: we will witness this audit and choices reviewed unfold from here

*** Home in the external world — the work you’ve done/ choices you’ve made to establish healthy aligned work environments and carve out pathways — that support authentic Soul expression

This latter has been evolving strongly for me.

I am in the midst of the rich build and completion of structures needed as a healthy container for my Soul expression.

It is affirming to witness astrology reflecting the exact timeliness of this process.

This becomes especially clear when we look at Mars  transiting Capricorn .

Capricorn  speaks to foundations and structures — those that are solid, clear, and aligned to support both present and future outcomes. These are now actively being built and formed, and we will witness these unfolding over the next year to nine years.

Ruled by Saturn  (accountability), this energy reflects a deepening of what I call “mystical adulting up” — i.e. being an adult in the truest sense of the word.

That is: I am accountable and professional to myself first and foremost. And I am accountable to others — i.e. you will always know where I stand.

• Integrity

• Honesty

The Soul, now healthily embodied, directing life and calling the shots

 — alongside wielding the grace and sanctity of its needs and boundaries. Yes — this latter (one’s Soul Sovereignty) has been very much on fire .

This is a very healthy Full Moon  — one that shines a clear light on the investment, work, and education we have undertaken.

—  and on how earnestly and honestly we have INTEGRATED and applied it in our daily lives — in CONCRETE  ways that nurture and support our sense of home   

— resolving and redefining Chiron wounds (with Chiron in Aries), reflected in our structures and in our re-set, Soul-resonant human behaviour.

Look back to 2017.

We are CLOSING A NUMEROLOGY 9 year, and the Year of the Snake. Entering a Numerology 1 year, and welcoming the Year of the Fire  Horse.

All this I’ve reflected on in relation to “Redefining HOME” (the Full Moon stationed in Cancer), and building soul-authentic supportive structures alongside accountability and integrity in daily life (Mars  in Capricorn  ) — needs to now be reviewed looking at the last nine years.

We are closing a 9-year cycle, entering a new 9-year cycle.

The year of the  Horse begins this February 2026. We are at the final stages of shedding  what we have OUTGROWN.
