🌕 Field Notes#3 from Singapore: Eclipse, Integrity & the Third Path

Field Notes #3: I write this to you from Singapore, at this FULL MOON ECLIPSE IN PISCES.

This Full Moon Eclipse in watery Pisces peaked at approximately 12:12pm Singapore time yesterday — Friday, 28 August 2026 | 2:12pm AEST Sunshine Coast, Australia | 12:12am EDT North American Eastern Time.

It comes with so much water.

Pisces  is the realm of Poseidon  — and it is certainly heavily felt:

— As I paddle, in a huge way, over Singapore waters converted from salt water to fresh water — here at the Va’a (IVF) World Outrigging Sprints.

— As Nepal and Tibet were engulfed in devastating floodwaters following a supposed catastrophic glacier collapse — hundreds dead, many more missing — with serious questions now surrounding the vulnerability and development of this trans-Himalayan corridor.

— As news of Trump’s decree directing the US Government to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America” floods international headlines — despite almost half the lake belonging to Canada and remaining completely outside US jurisdiction.

Water. Water. Lots of water.

As I write this, the devastation in Nepal weighs heavily in my heart and psyche.

For sensitives — devastation of this scale is palpably felt. I feel the deep pain, agony and grief suffered — and continuing to be suffered — by so many.

It almost makes any festivity feel inappropriate in the face of so much death and grief.

So this field note / journal entry will be brief.

It has been an intense and significant gateway.

We have been sandwiched between the psychic intensity of these two eclipses — the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo  on 12 August, and this other bookend in Pisces  in the last 24 hours.

We are sitting in the storm here.

THE GLARING AUDIT ON INTEGRITY

As I read the transits running alongside this eclipse in Pisces , here is what I see marking this grid — the big, pronounced, glaring lessons and crossroads:

1. TOXIC LEADERSHIP vs TRUE INTEGRITY

The transparency of toxic leadership — juxtaposed against true integrity — is being called to order.

It is glaring now.

Leadership traditionally run on gossip, control and manipulation becomes so much more evident when placed beside true leadership — and the rise of self-led leadership, beginning to make the tail wag the dog.

Albeit a small process — the old, corrupt, hypocritical way of leading, in any context big or small, has reached a point of disgust and glaring lack of integrity.

True leaders anchored in truth and clean integrity now sit beside the old beasts and know:

The running time of bullying, suppression of talent, and keeping people unseen and unheard is no longer sustainable.

It needs to phase out.

People are no longer tolerating it.

They lose credibility.

They lose following.

And as we watch farcical leaders still being paid enormous amounts of attention, it increasingly becomes a glaring joke.

Why are we still giving this our time and attention?

No more.

It is glaringly wasted time and focus.

People are no longer enabling it.

The days of toxic leadership are numbered.

THE TRANSITS

We have a Sun–Mercury cazimi in Virgo  — mind, discernment, analysis, organisation — sitting opposite the Pisces Moon.

Alongside it, Mercury in Virgo forms a tense square with Uranus in Gemini  — disruption through information, communication, thinking and perception.

For me, several themes line up directly with this audit on integrity.

2. MIND. INTUITION. AND THE THIRD PATH.

I see a forced balance between mind and logic — their intelligence and purpose — and their relationship and tightrope balance with intuition and flow.

How much of each?

How much of which?

How much of both?

And —

Is there a third path?

There is.

Personally, for me, it has been noticing old patterns of vertical logical dominance — energy automatically moving upward into the head to access solutions, alongside intuition.

And now, a new Soul-home-bound call takes a different route.

Instead of energy going vertically upward out of old habit, conditioning or history toward prominent logical solutions — which IS a gift and strength, yes —

 — this time, the choice is to:

Rest down and back.

Earth the Soul deeper.

More grounded.

More surrendered.

Present — but non-reactive.

No longer automatically leaving the physical body in search of the answer.

Settled.

Present.

Surrendered.

Non-reactionary.

3. HUMAN INTERVENTION — GENIUS OR DISTORTION?

The second thing I see is the question of extreme and misplaced human intervention — echoed for me through the tension around Uranus in Gemini .

What is communicated?

What lies and distortions are communicated?

And underneath that:

What has been human intervention — and what has been human distortion?

Here we sit in Singapore amidst the genius and radical outlay of human design and architecture.

Buildings. Landscape. Waterways.

When I first visited Singapore in 1989, Marina Bay was profoundly different — reclaimed land, open water, ships and an emerging cityscape.

Today I am paddling across Marina Reservoir — created after Marina Barrage closed the mouth of the Marina Channel and transformed the previously tidal system into a freshwater reservoir.

Human intervention.

Human ingenuity.

And around us — lush traditionally sensitive to grow orchids thriving almost too perfectly throughout this tropical city.

Singapore's otters meanwhile have naturally recolonised these increasingly clean waterways introduced from the Northern Hemisphere. To thrive in a tropical environment.

What is designed?

What is manipulated?

What is improved?

And at what point does intervention become distortion?

Then we look at Nepal.

The immediate trigger identified so far was a catastrophic glacier collapse — an enormous mass of ice and rock descending into the Lhende river system and generating the devastating flood downstream.

But I want to know:

What was manipulated?

Why has such an enormous concentration of roads, hydropower, border infrastructure and proposed tunnels and railways been developed through a known, rapidly destabilising Himalayan glacial river corridor?

What role, if any, has that intervention played in the vulnerability of this landscape?

What is the real cause?

I don't think we know enough yet to answer that cleanly.

And I want to know.

And then we look at Trump’s distortion — directing the US Government to rename Lake Ontario “Lake America.”

A shared international lake.

Canada is not his jurisdiction.

The decree changes what the US federal government calls the lake. It does not rename Canadian territory, nor does it give the United States any new territorial claim over it.

Again:

What is the distortion?

The farce.

The joke.

We are sitting in the thick of historical cosmic jokes now becoming tiresome.

And ultimately, the question comes back to each of us:

Which way will you choose?

Will you continue the farce?

Or choose the true integrity you speak of — but don't embody?

How much of the authenticity you speak of do you actually live?

Drop the hypocrisy.

Drop the duplicity.

It is no longer sustainable.
