Long, but all necessary. I've made this as lean as I can. Happy New Moon in Cancer
14 July 2026, 7:43 PM. Sunshine Coast, AEST
Here are my field notes/ reflections on this Cancer-Capricorn AXIS.
—-
I’ve been meeting a lot of individuals in my key local circles with prominent signs in Cancer and Capricorn — that axis. This means one of the three in their Triad (Sun, Moon, or Ascendant) is either in Cancer or Capricorn.
And my Capricorn Ascendant has felt VERY activated — both in terms of structure, and earth-rooted power kicking in and firing.
—-
Home
The concept and redefinition of Home has been very prominent and ubiquitous.
Whether it be defining what a safe "team" or "canoe" means within our outrigging competitive team...
Or redefining the difference between pure residence, and the concept of Stewardship on the land and homes we inhabit...
These are Cancer themes — the Crab .
Cancer, being the Fourth House in the zodiac, carries all archetypes of Home. From inner-home within ourselves, to every form of outer-home.
—-
The word Stewardship has emerged in relationships these last couple of weeks.
It is on the grid.
The word Reciprocity has emerged as one of our core values in relationships, and Stewardship.
And — as an inherent part of our Natural Blueprint.
Reciprocity, which we see throughout all natural systems, is also part of our own architecture and basic human need.
—-
The concept of "What benefits me?" has been begging redefinition.
I've had to earth, write down and ground these reflections for SATORI EARTH as part of this evolving petri dish exploring what it means to honour our Natural Blueprint — and the implications of doing so within our systems and culture.
—-
The precept of Value Exchange has emerged underneath inherent Reciprocity.
** What has further been challenged — and begged redefinition — is how our world has become conditioned to lose meaning, where denying ourselves fundamental human needs has become normalised, and no value is seen in an experience unless it is TRANSACTIONAL .
—-
There is a lot here.
This is my effort to capture the grid.
Bear with me.
—-
Why have benefits become things we feel we can only receive if someone pays $40... or $60... or $80?
What about self-connection and Soul-connection?
Being in healthy companionship.
Being in community.
Being deeply connected.
Giving to the earth, and receiving from the earth.
Are these not benefits?
Profound benefits to one's mental health, wellbeing and ecology.
The self-denial — and the normalised fear-based isolation in people — is sadly something culture has bred.
—-
As SATORI EARTH has emerged into clearer purpose, and our first three resident-stewards have arrived on site, these questions have become very real.
The documents clearly communicating Stewardship, Reciprocity and Value Exchange didn't emerge as theory.
They emerged because the relationships themselves required them.
And because if the core seed of SATORI EARTH'S purpose is to honour the Soul's Natural Blueprint as a matter of sustainability...
...then these are the foundational precepts that naturally begin to unfold.
—-
What makes a relationship SAFE?
Speaking about this Capricorn-Cancer axis...
What has become incredibly clear — and something I've also had to document and speak about within our outrigging team, as well as on SATORI EARTH
— is this question:
What makes a relationship SAFE?
Cancer — the Crab — seeks safety within its home.
This is true on every level of relationship.
Beginning with Self-Relationship.
And radiating outward into every relationship we have.
Through lived experience, I have discerned that what makes a relationship safe is the degree to which a person is identified with their trauma...
...or by contrast...
...the degree to which they are identified with their Soul.
Which is why it is important to "do the internal work."
Not for perfection.
Not to get rid of trauma.
Not because trauma is bad.
Not because we need to become "good enough."
But because, at the end of the day...
...it all comes down to IDENTIFICATION.
—-
Where are we consciously anchored?
If a person is largely (50–80/90%) identified with their human pain, history and trauma — if this remains their primary reference point, and still heavily real in their mind as how they are defined — then this becomes the lens through which they perceive, speak, operate, decide and relate from.
Through the lens of trauma...
...one projects.
Via their words.
Their actions.
Their thoughts.
Their energy.
Their behaviour.
They perceive from pain.
They operate from pain.
They decide from pain.
They relate from pain.
And insecurities.
And therefore...
...they project pain.
Which is what makes a relationship unsafe.
—
** Where enough conscious "gym hours" have been invested to truly see one's Self...
To truly SEE one's Soul...
To KNOW —
This is Who I Really Am.
The Soul...
Your Soul.
My Soul.
...knows only Love.
It rests in Love.
Not in fear.
Not in insecurity.
Not in pain.
—-
One needs to become heavily identified with one's Soul — Who You Really Are — perhaps 60–99% — in order to create Safe Self-Relationship, as well as within every external relationship.
Yes.
Clear percentages.
Clear numbers.
(Capricorn.)
The lower that percentage of Soul Identification...
The less Soul Identification has become one's default way of operating...
...the higher Trauma Identification remains.
And the more we project.
The more we lash out.
The more we defend.
The less accountability we naturally take.
Both within ourselves...
...and within every relationship.
—-
That is what I've been seeing and experiencing across the grid during this New Moon in Cancer window — throughout the two-week incubation beforehand — and I sense this will continue unfolding during the two weeks following this New Moon.
—-
The wider astrological landscape...
When I step back and look at the wider astrological landscape, none of these themes feel separate.
They feel like one living system.
Cancer has been asking us to redefine Home.
Not simply the house we live in...
But what genuinely nourishes us.
Not the 3D human bearing points on nourishment...
But rather going deeper.
What feeds the core Soul Self.
What makes us feel emotionally safe.
What allows our Soul to exhale.
—
Capricorn (the Sea Goat, ruled by Saturn) has not been content to leave these reflections as beautiful ideas.
Capricorn asks us to structure them.
To write them down.
To document them.
To ground them.
Ruled by Saturn , this force asks for nothing less.
To communicate clear expectations.
Clear boundaries.
Clear agreements.
To build relationships and systems capable of holding them.
—
Which is exactly what has been emerging here on SATORI EARTH .
Stewardship.
Reciprocity.
Value Exchange.
Not simply concepts...
But living structures capable of holding healthy relationship.
—
Then there is Gemini .
With Uranus now sitting in Gemini — and Mars having conjoined Uranus on 4 July — there has been an unmistakable acceleration around communication itself.
Dialogue.
Language.
Questions.
Documentation.
New conversations.
New ways of thinking.
New ways of relating.
Almost as though the old mental architecture is being disrupted (Uranus - drastic change) so a new one can emerge.
—
To me, this is precisely why all these Cancerian themes around Home, Safety, Stewardship, Reciprocity and what truly feeds the Soul have needed language.
They have needed discussion.
They have needed documenting.
They have needed to become conscious.
—
Add to this Neptune now retrograde in Aries , dissolving old identities and asking us who we really are beneath survival...
Giant Jupiter's recent entrance into Leo inviting us to courageously embody our authentic Self...
And Pluto (Hades) continuing its long journey through Aquarius, dismantling outdated systems in favour of something more sustainable, visionary and life-giving (Aquarius)...
—
...I don't experience these as separate transits.
They're participating in the same conversation.
Cancer asks the questions.
Capricorn gives them structure.
Gemini gives them language.
And underneath it all...
I keep arriving back at the same place.
Soul Identification.
—
Because the more deeply identified we become with Who We Really Are...
...the safer our relationships become.
The more naturally Reciprocity emerges.
The less transactional life becomes.
And the more we begin cultivating our internal homes, our relationships, our communities, our organisations and our culture in ways that genuinely honour the Soul's Blueprint...
...the more sustainable life becomes.
For me, that is what this New Moon in Cancer is inviting us into.
