Field Notes#1 from Singapore: Why Am I Here at Worlds?

TIME LOG. Tuesday, 25 August 2026.
Race day.
Our Senior Masters team of six finally hits the water today at 2:04pm Singapore time.
Six months ago, this wasn’t even possible.
I’ve been dragon boating for approximately three years. I discovered outrigging at the start of 2026 — and loved it.
The primal connection between ocean, water, canoe and Self was electric and unmistakable.
———
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Granted, I’m fairly new to the sport.
My long-standing journey in conscious self-awareness elevated to a different level of ownership and real Soul-embodiment 12–18 months ago, and it’s been Self-reclamation on steroids since that gateway.
All my work is anchored and centred around honouring our natural design — our inherent, robust, complex Soul-Human Blueprint — the undeniable cosmic wiring we all came in with.
———
Our conventional systems can begin blocking the Soul almost from entry.
Many, if not most, of my gifts — what I came in with — were blocked, suppressed or untapped for at least the first quarter of my life.
This isn’t uncommon.
In a global culture that entrains us to pigeonhole ourselves into one career path, suppression, self-disconnection and self-abandonment are normalised and rewarded.
It involves the suppression of the remainder of the organism.
Which, I believe, can translate into mental, physical and financial depletion.
And ultimately — unsustainability.
———
If we came in with multi-faceted artillery, wouldn’t it make sense to enliven and develop healthy pathways of expression for each of those gifts — that artillery, that equipment?
On a level of survival, strategy and thriving, it would seem to make common sense to enliven as many of the gifts we are wired with as possible, from the moment of entry.
But instead — we are so often met with suppression.
———
WHY AM I DOING THIS?
Why am I here at Worlds?
As I have consciously recognised — and continue to explore and honour — each gift and talent wired into my natural architecture, one aspect of my inherent wiring presented itself before I even consciously recognised it:
“The Athlete”.
It has awakened.
Raised in a highly conservative Asian household, with a father steeped in patriarchy, any sport that ran the risk of calluses — for reasons of superficial beauty — was denied.
———
I am a guinea pig/transmitter in this larger experiment around honouring our inherent design and its relationship to health — physical, mental and financial — carving out clear pathways for each gift to connect with the collective and ground through my body.
As an experiment, I have discovered that once my Soul consciously decided to be here — and to honour my Self and my gifts fully — our inherent capacities can kick in beyond the logical mind.
And in Soul-mode, I am evidence that we can learn things super-fast — and that what was intended to unfold in this lifetime can embody through the human body at lightning speed.
And so, here we are.
———
I honour this gift in me, and have no expectations for today apart from my own self-expectation to honour the best of what I have capacity for — and what I know I can give.
By respecting my Soul wiring and design, I honour all my ancestors, and all who have paved the path before me.
Let’s go! 🌊
Shannon Warrian · Carmen · Aliti Chang · Diana Saville · Georgie Pakau · Rachael McCallum. And Lisa Jayne Brown — good luck on your race, my friend.
Acknowledging my mentors, past, present and future: Leisha Antunovich · PJ Dorries · Michael Francis Lott · Robert Ohotto.
Everyone here is already a winner.

Meditation mantra — a moving spiritual practice:
IN THIS MOMENT I HAVE A CHOICE TO GIVE MY ENERGY TO FEAR
OR TO GIVE MY ENERGY TO THE WISDOM OF MY SOUL.
I CHOOSE TO GIVE MY ENERGY TO THE WISDOM OF MY SOUL.
